Corning Salvation Army's Shepherd's Table is an opportunity for local organizations, Churches, Service Organizations to help support the Salvation Army. Our turn to provide the Sunday afternoon dinner was last weekend. Karen and I cooked up the casserole Sunday morning and then our Rotary Team assembled in the afternoon to put together and serve dinners. All together, with assistance of a Salvation Army volunteer, we served over 40 meals.
Food security is one of the key roles of our Corning Rotary Club in our community. We work with and in pantries, provide community gardens and are now finishing a greenhouse that will support the Corning pantry. Thanks to all that made this possible: Ernie, Mani, Karen, Stacy, Dale, Wendy and Jan!!
