Community Service Opportunities:

[complete] Saturday, May 8th: Paul Tick, Dale Wexell and Andy Rochester completed the Spring Highway Cleanup. A collection success -- 13 orange bags of refuse removed.
- [complete] Thursday, May 20th, 4-6pm: in lieu of the regular Thursday lunch meeting, the Rotary Club held a Rotary food-packing event at the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- [new/signup] June 23rd, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.: here's a chance to help the Science and Discovery Center assemble the STEM kits from the components that our club donated to them. Here's the signup. Hope to see you there!!
- The Corning Rotary Club arranged for simplified grants to the Science and Discovery Center and Meals on Wheels. Stacy Ward will coordinate the awards.
- Stuart Sammis reported that the Rotary Club participated in the dedication to Jodi Kohli of the Food Pantry and the green house at the CPP High School
Member News and Updates:
- Jan Harvey reported that there will not be a Change-Over-Dinner this year; but there will be a Change-Over-Picnic outside, at McKinney Park on Saturday, June 19, 2021, from noon to 2:00 p.m. Corning Catering will cater the picnic.
- Rich Fastiggi reported that a combination of two unfortunate events and one happy event resulted in his family
experiencing two funerals and a wedding in short order. - Dick Perry also reported that a niece of his passed away this year.
Program: 
Holly Richards (the Community Management Manager at Care First) gave a general overview of Care First and the programs which it provides to the community. Holly explained that Care First provides hospice care with an emphasis on quality of living. The organizationâs services include help and support for the families of seriously ill patients.
