Announcements:
- Birthdays: Ted Goldwyn, Nora Ann Smith, Andy Rochester, Buddy Cutler, Katie Cervoni, Theresa Rossetti, and Charlie Tyo. There were also a couple of spouses birthdays. Best wishes to all.
- Stu then called on John Wahlig and Bill Boland to introduce our newest Rotarian Marisa Thomas who is the executive general manager of the Radisson -- soon to be Doubletree Hotel. John and Bill both noted that the current hotel is now 50 years old, and that Marisa is determined to return the hotel to the prominence it has enjoyed in the past. Welcome, Marisa, and best of luck with your renovations.
- Stu noted that he has been in touch with Rich Fastiggi. Rich is sporting several new body parts and hopes to be back with us soon.
- Stu also noted that the next few month will be busy for us, with the Ground Hog Day Pancake Supper leading
the way on Thursday, Feb 2nd. SIGN UP HERE to volunteer! It will be followed by an online auction fund-raiser in May and the International dinner on May 20th.
- Stu then called on Jenniffer Mullin who discussed the smoke detector project. This project is a $5000.00 grant from the club to the local fire districts to distribute smoke detectors to low-income homes. Jenniffer emphasized that the distribution would not be possible without the aid of the local fire chiefs. Three of the chiefs were present to accept the check from Stu and Jenniffer.
