Ted Goldwyn was presented with the highest honor in the Club, the Paul Harris award, recognizing his commitment to the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self”.
Ted is a long-time member of the Corning Rotary Board and is a former President of the Club. Just a few of his accomplishments include hosting the club’s foreign exchange student, forming a collaboration with the Gaffer District to help with community events, as well as establishing a relationship with the other 2 service clubs to create a barbecue fundraiser to help pay for the city’s 4th of July fireworks. He also spearheaded a committee to create a new fundraiser for the club, Suds for Service, which will help provide funds to continue the Rotary club’s service to the Corning area community.
Ted moved to the community in 2006 when he was hired by Corning Credit Union. He later established his own freelance writing company. He and wife Maria have 3 very active children. When not involved with family, work or Rotary you can find him out running or playing his bass guitar with Leah Brown and the Side Hustle.
