• Spelling bee continued between two finalists for additional 17 rounds; total 34 rounds..

• META & John Spiegler Holocaust Remembrance Lecture – April 8 at CMOG - same time as item above.
• Corning Music Festival Opening Night – July 19, featuring Melissa Manchester, per Cindy
• Polar Bear Plunge Fundraiser - part of profits go to summer camps – info

Program - International Committee Update by Ray Defendorf
• Grants for Nepal, Uganda, Ecuador, Congo, and Guatemala
• Projects include clean water, sanitation, sewing & training for women, stove distribution, and flood relief
• Phase 2 of the club’s global grant project is underway; pledge renewals beginning
• Exploratory support for a CT scanner in India and water program in Uganda
• International Dinner rescheduled to June 7 at the Radisson
• Ticket price adjusted from $100 to $75
• Entertainment and auction planning ongoing; we have 2 months to establish the updated event.
50/50 Drawing
The meeting concluded with a fun Rotarian Magazine quiz and a 50/50 raffle drawing. Gil won $6 and returned it to the pot.
