The Rotary Cherry Blossom Trail is laid out. The cherry trees arrived yesterday. The holes for the trees are dug. Each tree is placed next to its hole by our City crew, ready for planting. The fresh, new path is laid.All that's missing is you -- a Corning Rotarian. I hope you will be able to join in on our club's 100th anniversary celebration tomorrow in Denison Park.
The event, the Rotary Cherry Bloom Trail "Planting Day", is Wednesday September 22nd, 4pm - 6:00pm, with the ceremony at 5:00pm. Rain or shine. Directions are below.
Our Rotary tree planting team will be in full work mode, taking just the amount of time off to attend the ceremony.

The trailhead is located at Denison Park on East Market Street Extension, east of Conhocton Street.
For reference, when traveling east on Denison Parkway, turn left at Dunkin Donuts onto Conhocton.
If coming from East Corning/Gibson on 352, turn right at Rite-Aid Pharmacy onto Conhocton. Take the next right which is East Market Street Extension. The trailhead is a few hundred yards on the right-hand side. You can’t miss it. Parking is along the street and in the City’s small lots on the left-hand side and in the park. Overflow parking is inside the park along the road and in the vicinity of the pool. That will mean a short walk through our beautiful park o allow a few extra minutes.
