Corning NY August 5: The second phase of the tri-county First Responders Honor Park in Gang Mills NY will be celebrated during the ceremony on 9-11-21, at the park at 11:00 a.m.The Mission: The Park is dedicated to honor and remember First Responders. Primarily those who have served in the Tri-County Region of Steuben, Schuyler and Chemung Counties. They are the first to respond to emergencies to save life, limb, and property from harm.
Location: The site is in the Town of Erwin at the corner of South Hamilton Street and Forest Drive in Gang Mills. It is conveniently located off Exit 11 of Interstate I-99.
Phase II: An addition to the park is being created at this time; a new bronze statue "The Lifesaver", honoring a firefighter rescuing a Child. The new area also features an expanded green space, sidewalks and displays.
