Bryan Bender is the current pastor and administrator at The Salvation Army in Corning which serves all of Steuben County. He arrived here in Corning at the end of June last year from serving in Ohio for the past ten years. He has experienced many different communities each with their own challenges and opportunities and looks forward to building relationships and serving the people here in Corning.
Angela Daniels brings a background in classroom education as well as fine and performing arts to her work in the community. She currently serves as librarian at the Alternative School for Math and Science in Corning and is actively engaged with the Philanthropic Advisory Board of the American Library Association. Angela has contributed her time and experience to numerous community organizations, including the Rockwell Museum, YMCA, Watson Woods, 171 Cedar Arts, Elmira Little Theatre, and the Salvation Army, among others.
Darro Snyder, after serving in the Army as a military police officer, lived in Syracuse for 10 years starting a career as a union carpenter. Moving to Corning, he is still a union carpenter but also has started his own business as a NYS licensed home inspector. His personal time is spent in quality time spent with his family and helping Veterans in any way that he can.
Rose Coluccio is the Director of Engineering, Manufacturing Technology and Engineering, North America at Corning Incorporated. She has led the MTE North America organization since 2024. In this role, she is responsible for engineering strategy, technology development, and the
execution of programs that improve cost-effectiveness, capacity, quality, and capability across the enterprise. With 25 years of service at Corning Incorporated, Rose has held a wide range of leadership roles spanning engineering, new product introduction, quality engineering, and manufacturing. Her experiences include work in six manufacturing plants across three different divisions, encompassing both division-level and corporate engineering leadership positions.
Scott Sayre is a retired museum leader, educator, and digital strategist with more than three decades of experience advancing innovation at the intersection of culture, technology, and public engagement. Most recently, he served as Chief Digital, Information and Education Officer at the Corning Museum of Glass from 2014 to 2024, where he led strategy for digital initiatives, information systems, and education, helping expand how the museum engaged both onsite and global audiences. In 2003, he co-founded Sandbox Studios, an independent consulting practice that partnered with leading museums including the Andy Warhol Museum, Art Institute of Chicago, Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. His work focused on early innovations in digital learning and online access to collections. In retirement, he is focused on community service in Corning where he serves as a board member and secretary for Steuben County Habitat for Humanity. He also founded and manages Steuben County’s first Tool Library, which provides access to tools, promotes skill-sharing, and supports sustainability. In addition, he has organized Corning’s first Repair Café program, bringing together volunteers to repair household items, reduce waste, and strengthen community connections. Throughout his career and into retirement, he has remained committed to education, innovation, and service, with a focus on building stronger, more connected communities.
