Today's meeting features two of our Youth Services programs, RYLA and High School Learning Center. President Pauline Emery, opened the meeting and we celebrated our August birthdays. Lots of news and upcoming events. Two great presentations from RYLA students on their experience at the RYLA event.

Guests / Visiting Rotarians: Kelly Comfort, co-President of Chemung Sunrise Rotary. Ted introduced many guests involved in Rotary Youth Services: Carrie Grove - District Rotary Youth Award Center, then the members of HSLC Interact: April Corwin [speaker], Nagi Estrada, Eleighse Hoaglin, Aubrey Farrell, Maxwell Jennings [speaker], and HSLC Interact leader Justin Stuart. Finally, Ted also introduced Maria - his spouse. Diane Webb also joined us today - with Jim.
Today's Program came to us via the RYLA program [Rotary Youth Leadership Awards]. Two of the students that recently attend the RYLA spoke today and told us about their experiences, as well as their leanings from the event. Please see the video !!t

Scott Sayre told us about the upcoming Repair Cafés. Please check the link and learn more about this sessions. Next up: Craig Park in Painted Post: Aug 29 and Corning Emanuel Lutheran Church: September 19t. Corning Repair Cafe helps community members diagnose and repair everyday household items with the guidance of volunteer “repair coaches.” We help extend the useful life of items, reduce waste, and share repair skills.
