Elmira, NY - We met at the Food Bank in lieu of our regular Thursday Zoom meeting. First, the Food Bank staff reviewed ou
r duties and we viewed the introduction and safety information videos -- to make sure that we were familiar with the rules and operations.

Our task was to take store-donated dry goods from regional businesses [like CVS] and check each item's expiration date -- then sort them into bins by type of item. Truly a collaboration time, with some of us repairing packaging, others moving items - sometimes in chains. At the end, we'd completed the pallets they originally brought us .... and more! It was a good time; community service and fellowship. Our thanks to the Food Bank staff for their welcoming & expertise!
