Program

President Jeff Ugoretz played a TED talk by Simon Sinek entitled Start with Why.  This is one of the 5 most watched TED talks of all time.  The purpose of the presentation was to help us determine how the principles discussed in the talk can help us be more successful as a club?  See the presentation here.

After the presentation Jeff first asked us to fill in the blank in the following statement;

“Rotary exists by   __________  the way fire exists by burning.”

Responses were; Serving, Caring, Volunteering, Doing good for the community, Giving, Helping, Collaborating, Listening, and Creating a vision

Jeff then asked:

"Why do we give up our personal time to do these things?"

Responses included; we want to make a difference, we want to achieve a positive difference, and helping people matters to us.
