Gail Hostettler: Her husband is now in ECMC in Buffalo for spinal rehab and physical therapy.  She sends her thanks for all the good wishes and support from fellow Rotarians.

 

Gil Sweet: The Jewish Food Festival will not be held in person this year but will be celebrated as the “Nosh of the Month.” He will be sending out an email with all the details.

 

Past President Jan Harvey brought a solemn note to the gathering with the mention of this day being the one year anniversary of the World Health Organization declaring COVID-19 to be a pandemic.  Our regular club meeting held that day was our last regular in-person meeting. Discussion was held by the International Committee prior to the meeting deciding to cancel the International Dinner which was to be held that Saturday. One year and 527,726 (as of 8:00 PM on March 11, 2021) deaths nationwide, including a few from our club, there is hope on the horizon.

 

Stu Sammis introduced our program this way: Have you ever played two truths and a lie?  Well, this week we will play two lies and a truth.  One of the results of the recent survey and the discussion groups we held was members want to know more about each other.  This is a way for us to get to know each other better.  Guinea pigs were Kate Foss, John Brown and Laura Mattson.  Stu was right!  This was fun.  And we will be doing this more often.  Keep tuned!
