At the October 28th meeting we will be hosting District Governor Janet Tenreiro.
As of the November 4th meeting, we will be meeting only by Zoom. There will be no in-person meeting component for the immediate future as of that date.
We continued to host in-person meetings at the Radisson.
- Please order using the link provided on our Rotary Home Page ASAP, as the selections need to be made a week ahead of time; however, they are giving us some leeway this time.
- The online ordering system [labelled PayPal] lets you use your Visa/Mastercard.
- Andy has included a lunch choice "if you want to attend but not order food". This helps the hotel have enough space for us!
- Ask Andy if you have any issues with this and he will make sure you get the meal you want and you can pay next Thursday. If you order through Andy, please bring cash to pay for your meal.
Guests: Stacy Ward introduced Morgan Kemp, joining virtually. This is Morgan's third meeting. Morgan is a 2008 Corning East grad, and received her MA in Accounting from Alfred University. She is a Marine Corp veteran and owns Morgan Kemp Accounting. Morgan is interested in becoming a Rotarian and participating in our community service opportunities!

First Order of Club Business: Quorum was established at 27 members present either in-person or on Zoom.  President Jeff made the motion on behalf of the Board of Directors to approve the new By-Laws as presented to the club on September 30, 2021, and posted on Clubrunner for the month of September. A motion was made by Wendy Winnett to amend the proposed by-laws to include a Foundation Committee and moving the Paul Harris Committee to be a sub-committee of the Foundation Committee with language approved by the Board. Motion was carried. With that amendment added to the original motion, the motion to accept the new by-laws was approved by the club. Thank You to all members who made the effort to attend today's meeting so that we would have a quorum for the vote. Announcements:  District Governor Janet Tenreiro will be visiting our club meeting on October 28th at noon at the Radisson. Please make an effort to attend the meeting as DG Linda will be speaking on the face of Rotary as we move forward in this new world. Program: Today's program was a video presentation of Simon Lancaster on "Speak Like a Leader." He discussed the six secrets of the language of leadership. |
