Next week's meeting (6-30-2022) will be held at the Presbyterian Church and on Zoom.  The program will be an update on Camp STAR by Marianne Kalec and Nancy LaTour.

The Club met at McKinney Park the evening of June 23rd to celebrate another successful year and to give President Jeff Ugoretz an appreciative send-off.  However, President Jeff was not able to be present since he had tested positive for covid three days before.  It was noted that another of our stalwart corps, Andy Rochester, was absent for the same reason. Everyone sent their get well wishes to the missing troopers.
Well over 40 people attended the picnic with food provided by Bill Spaulding of Corning Catering. A great buffet of barbeque pulled pork, shredded chicken and sausage and peppers along with tasty sides was served.

It was good to see so many members and their families in attendance including Dick and Jackie Pope, Nora SmithPete Winnett, Jenniffer Mullen and Kelly Copp and family. It's been a long time since they all were able to attend a meeting.  It was fun to catch up!

President-elect Stu Sammis greeted the attendees before turning the meeting over to Stacy Ward to introduce new member Cathy Buck to the crowd for those Rotarians who had not met her before.  New member Jennifer Batzing arrived late and avoided being introduced.

Next up was Les Rosenbloom to award Paul Harris Fellows for the past couple years of lockdown:
     John Brown -- +5
     Jim Webb -- +2, +3
     Wendy Winnett -- +2
     Paul Tick -- +2
     Gil Sweet -- +2
     Nancy Dubendorfer
     Jan Harvey

Once it was determined that there were enough Rotary Club members in attendance to make a quorum, an official club meeting was called to order for the purpose of electing the nominated slate of officers:
Stu Sammis  for the office of president
     Dale Wexell for president-elect
     Ernie Danforth for secretary
     Jan Harvey for treasurer
     Cathy Buck for vice-president
Jeff Ugoretz moves to past president

     At-Large Board Members:
Yumiko Akiba -- three year term
Andy Rochester -- three year term
Ray Defendorf -- two year term
Rich Fastiggi -- two year term
Rich Davis  -- one year term

The slate passed unanimously and the appropriate presidential pins were handed out.  New President Stu went over what his goals are for the upcoming year:
    --Build on successes from 2021-2022
--Stabilize/reinvigorate members/activity/participation/interest in Rotary and the Club
    --Grow membership
    --Develop new funding methods
    --Develop new club projects

The meeting adjourned at 6:15.
