Program: Addiction -- The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Presented by Dr. Kathleen Hallinan, accompanied by Brandon Beuter, 2021 Bath Rotary Club's Citizen of the Year recipient, and Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard. In Steuben County this year to date, there have been 190 drug overdoses with 9 fatalities. In the City of Corning to date there have 72 overdoses. The problem is here, make no mistake. Drug addiction is very much a problem in the county and in our city. ADDICTION IS AN ILLNESS, NOT A CHOICE! Fentanol, Meth, Heroin, alcohol and marijuana. The marijuana today is NOT the 1960's pot, being much more potent and often laced with other drugs. This presentation, in the weekly meeting recording, will be available next week.
