Guests: Jen Batzing, Dr. Bill Mullaney, Harrie Stevens, and Brian Dana Announcements and Volunteer Opportunities: - The second Ukrainian fundraiser on Thursday, May 19th was very successful. Rotarian and community volunteers served over 350 dinners of pierogis and kielbasa, raising over $3,300 to support World Central Kitchen's Ukrainian relief program. Walmart, Sam's Club, and Tops all provided gift cards and gifts in kind.
- Les Rosenbloom reminded us that the deadline for nominations for the Paul Harris Award is May 31st. Here's the info and form.
- Gil Sweet shared information from Cynthia Long about this summer's Endless Mountain Music Festival, July 22 - August 7. The festival will host a free concert on August 7 at Corning's Nasser Rink, featuring a 62 piece orchestra. Rotary is a sponsor of the Endless Mountain Music Festival, and Gil has a few free tickets available for some of the concerts. Visit www.endlessmountain.net for more info.
- Gil also reminded us that the last concert of the 2021-22 Corning Civic Music season will be held on June 18, featuring the Band of Heathens.
- Our Treasurer Jan Harvey reminded us that it's annual dues time! Our Rotary dues are going up to $335.50 per member, after a couple of years of reduced costs due to the pandemic. Secretary Ernie Danforth will be sending out dues notices soon. The Board is also requesting each member to pay $60 for the Rotary scholarship fund.
