Program for next week (August 11): Dr. Kathleen Hallinan and Sheriff Allard on Addiction in Steuben County: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Club Service:  Dick Puccio gave the invocation. Rick Davis was the photographer. Jan Harvey did COGS Les Rosenbloom had the honors of presenting a Paul Harris Fellow to Dick Perry. This is Dick's second honor. Announcements: - Polio has returned to the United States, more specifically to Rockland County, New York where an unvaccinated person has contracted polio. - Camp STAR update:
- Jan noted that we can also help Camp Star by working the Information Booth at NASCAR at the Glen August 19-21st. Click here for list of signup times, then you email Bridgette Stewart goodb0322@aim.com to signup for a work session.
- Camp STAR night is scheduled for Monday, August 15th. 6:30-8:30 old Watson Homestead (Now Watson in the Woods) - We will be handing out cookies prior to our usual dance party DJ'd by Bobby K Entertainment. Please sign up for that as well through ClubRunner.
- Stu reminded members that there will be a Board and Committee Chair retreat on Saturday Aug 20th. We are still in need of some committee chairs; in particular, Community Service and Club Service. If you have any interest at all talk to Stu or any Board member.
- Bill Boland noted that Holiday Evening with Rotary project received a boost this week as Wendy Griffin has signed on to help us organize the show. She will sign up high school students to do the
show, will work up the rehearsal schedule and get us organized. The evening is scheduled for Dec 10th at 171 Cedar Arts Center. Community Engagement will meet tomorrow to work through more details. The program will include a magician and a presentation of The Holiday Dating Game, written by our own Mayor Boland. - Dick Perry noted that our own Sam Sanfratello is struggling with his leukemia. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers. UPDATE on SAM from Dave Anderson: Sam was to be moved to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester Saturday afternoon.
- From Dave Kartzman, who is coordinating our student exchange program: Our exchange student this year is Polina. She will be arriving in the beginning of September from Ukraine via the Warsaw, Poland Rotary Club. Wendy Winnett will be serving as Polina's advocate/counselor.
- Our club is sponsoring a new Interact Club this year at the High School Learning Center located at CCC. Ted Goldwyn is pulling this all together with some help from Dale Wexell.
- From Bill Boland: We have received resolutions from Phil Palmesano commemorating our club's 100th Anniversary. If you would like a copy of the resolution, please contact Bill. You can see the resolution in the Zoom video from the meeting.

Program: Paula Smith introduced our program. Head  ed up by Wendy Griffin,  three cast members of the Wizard of Oz, from the Middle School Drama Club, performed some of our favorite songs from the show. Genevieve Griffin, who plays Dorothy, sung Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Alex Kostera, the Scarecrow, sung If I only had a Brain. Rounding out the performance was Rob Manning, the Cowardly Lion doing the Courage verse. Finally, the trio was Off to See the Wizard." The performances were this weekend: August 5th-7th.
