What is the Corning Rotary Sustaining Fund?

  • The Fund is a long-term capital investment fund managed by the Elmira-Corning Community Foundation on behalf of the Corning Rotary Club and is independent of Rotary International, for the sole purpose of funding future Corning Rotary Club initiatives

The Mission

  • To establish a fund that will enable Corning Rotary Club to maintain a significant level of funding for projects in the community or to support projects in the Rotary world.

Why Necessary?

  • The Fund will provide a constant source of income for future programs, while providing an opportunity to keep your support for Rotary in the local community with a tax-deductible contribution.  It also reduces the need for special membership assessments to support programs.

How is the Fund managed?

  • The Fund is managed by the Elmira/Corning Community Foundation, which is a registered 501c charity. This organization manages funds for many local individuals & organizations and takes care of all legal and administrative requirements.  It also provides the opportunity for tax deductible contributions to be made directly to the Corning Rotary Club  (Note: The Corning Rotary Club is not of itself 501c registered).  A member of the Corning Rotary Club Board of Directors oversees fund activity and reports status to Members on a regular basis.

How to Donate?

  • Donations are acceptable from everyone….  Not just Rotary Club Members! 
  • Donations of money or stock are both acceptable.
